REQUIREMENTS
- You must be at least 18 years of age. If you’re younger and would like to join you must come with a guardian. Only those 16 and older can fire muskets.

- While we aren’t physically exerting ourselves on a regular basis you must be able to march at least a mile at a time and be able to live outdoors for the weekend.

- You must be willing to adhere to the unit’s authenticity guidelines. Every single detail counts and we all must be working toward our authenticity goals. A member of the unit will work closely with any new member to make sure they get what they need in order for them to attend events.

- It’s vital that you continue to develop your knowledge regarding the American Revolution so that you’re able to be a good educator. See our book list for some places to start your in-depth education.

- You should be prepared to join our “family.” We don’t use this term lightly. Many members grew up in the 2nd NJ and most came as adults. Regardless, while we do operate in the field as a military unit with officers and NCOs, we function a whole lot more like a family while away from events. Let it be known that while we take our impressions very seriously we are well known in our community for being a jovial, fun-loving band. Come to experience and demonstrate the lives of Continental soldiers during the day and stay to celebrate the union of reenactors around the camp-fire at night!
